Hello all:) A water heater wrap/blanket can make your water heater more efficient and that means a 10% a month savings for you! Most of the time your water heaters are located in areas that do not help it retain its heat for very long. Places like the garage, basement, attic.
Installing a heavy R-11 or better wrap/blanket will help you to really insulate your water heater. When you get higher in the "R" value the thicker and better your water heater will be insulated!
You can normally purchase a water heater wrap/blanket as a kit for a 30 gallon, 40 gallon, 50 gallon, and so on.
Be sure to read the directions on the packaging for the water heater wrap/blanket because wrapping an electric water heater vs a gas water heater.
